We stayed for the weekend in Holly Lodge 12 and absolutely loved it. The kitchen has everything you need, the paint is off the oven dials so it's a bit of guess work with the oven, but didn't take much figuring out. Beautiful setting, very private, hot tub overlooking the lake was fabulous, warm and comfortable. Short walk away from shop/bus stop.. car parking outside the lodge. Both members of staff we met were very friendly, made us feel welcomed & at home. Would absolutely stay again.

What's not to like? As a york resident i completed a job for the owner (mobile mechanic) and came to a deal for a couple of nights away. Great location. Lovely lodges: Clean, comfy and has everything needed: TV, oven. Microwave. Plates, trays, utensils etc. Really clean: hot tub spotless along with the complete lodge. In a beautiful setting with a great fishing lake and a nice pub in walking distance (fox and roman 5 minute walk) My little lad loved it, has made the few nights before Christmas brilliant. Thanks so much Bill, Andy, Sarah and the team. Look forward to a returning visit.

Just got back from a stay here and honestly, it was absolutely lovely. The whole place is really well looked after — the grounds are neat, peaceful and the lodges themselves are spot on. Inside, everything was spotless and modern, with all the little details thought through. Staff were great too. Super friendly and helpful without being over the top. You can tell they care about the place and the people staying. It’s the kind of spot that works whether you’re after proper peace and quiet or quality time with family. Really calm setting but still close enough to York (only about 2 miles) if you fancy a day out or a meal somewhere. We’ll definitely be booking again. Already missing it a bit, to be honest.

I originally booked this back in October for my partner's birthday however on the day of travelling he took ill and had to have an emergency appendectomy the day after. These guys were absolutely outstanding and understanding and I am so grateful. They gave us a voucher for the full amount even though we let them down on the day. Thankyou to Andrew and the team. We finally got to go last week. It was early January and we arrived to a frozen lake and a very warm welcome. The lodge was well supplied and well presented with a beautiful view of the lake from the hot tub. The taxi to York was under £8 and we had a wonderful time during the days exploring York and an amazing couple of evenings sat in the hot tub with the cold January and the stars all around us. So beautiful. We enjoyed it that much we extended our 3-night stay to a 4-night stay. We will absolutely be going back. It is a great base to explore York and a beautiful spot to unwind.

What's not to like. It's November, we've travelled 40 minutes from Doncaster to stay here Monday to Friday. It's a beautiful quiet location, Lakeside, secluded, hot tub, short dog walk for our 13 yo Border Collie. Perfect for the two of us. I can recommend the local pub (easy walk from the site)The Fox and Roman.... Great food and real Yorkshire hand pulled Ales.....

We really enjoyed our weekend at the lodge. It was an excellent location for York, but equally lovely to be away from the centre. The hot tub was great. We loved the lodge as the rooms were so cosy and the kitchen had everything we needed. When we did need a little help, staff were quick to respond to us. We couldnt fault our mini break and would definitely return!
